Tricks and Treats!

I know it's time to see the HOUSE!  And I promise that's next!
But I wanted you all to see how we just ended our October!

I made these bite-sized Pecan Pies for Wade's co-workers!
They were darling!  But I think I would rather a whole big pie...
these just seem like a tease and then you feel bad when you've eaten 12.
I mean 2.  :)

But aren't they pretty??

Since we are a week away from closing {EEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!},
I decided to start packing up Andrew's clothes
that are too big for him.
However, since I had two monkeys UNPACK them for me
and I had to REPACK each box for what felt like 20 times,
I'm waiting until Dad is home to pack from now on. #legitexcuse  :)
My little 'helper.'

On October 30,
ANDREW PAUL POOLE TOOK HIS FIRST STEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  It was so so wonderful!!
We were all together in Savannah's room!  Wade was reading Savannah a story while I was playing with Andrew.  He crawled out of my lap, stood up, looked at Wade and Van....
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!  I immediately jumped up and started screaming...
which made him fall down and start crying.  Hahaha!!!
I was sooooooooooo PROUD!!!

One of the greatest rewards of being a stay-at-home mom is being the one that gets to see all the "FIRSTS"...  first smile, first word, first foods, first step.  Mothers are CREATED to be see each of these moments!  Those precious "firsts" make all the dirty diapers, spit-up episodes, and dinner time disasters WORTH.EVERY.MINUTE. The hardworking daddies sometimes have to sacrifice watching these things, which can be sad... but it helps to know that their babies are safe and sound  at home with Mommy, knowing that the one other person in the world who loves them just was much as he does is teaching, protecting, caring, nurturing, and completely engaged and focused on THEIR babies.

And when they know all of that...
and STILL get to watch those "firsts"...  now, THAT is truly perfect!!!

Seriously, how sweet is our God that He would let us BOTH experience
watching our babies take their first step!!!!  Ahhhh!
Lord, we are SO thankful!!!!!

I simply can't describe how it feels when this tiny person,
that we have taken care of from his very first breath of life,
has developed into a tiny person that can walk.
It's just incredible.

Here is our little warrior, "taking his first step with Jesus!!" - Grammie  :)

On October 31,
we realized it was Halloween.
That's right. October 31.
Thankfully, we were able to scrounge around and find something the kids could wear to dress up in!  We went to Kees Park, where the community puts together a trail of stations that the kids stop at and get their little buckets filled up with candy!!  TOTALLY ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!
Seriously, ALL OF YOU have to come next year!!!!!!!!  But we have to get there an hour early because the line gets out of control.  And we want the best candy.  :)

Here's is our mini-MINNIE MOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ahhh, babies make the holidays SOOOO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!!
#can'twaitforemorytogethere.....  ;)

Brother did not have a costume yet...  we were still scrounging.

Mommy's little boy!!!
{With a mouthful of Outlaw's.  YUM!!}

Daddy's little girl!!

Look what we found!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, heyyyyy, Nurse Poole!!!!!!!!!!  :)

Happy Halloween!!!!!!

I tried to get creative with our Halloween pictures.  #fail

Trick-or-Treat! Smell my feet!! Give us something good to eat!!

Halloween.... at our new house!!!!!!!!

Cuties!!!!!!  And do you like the sneak peek of the granite??? Yayyyy!!!

Here are a few of our pictures from last night's
 Trick-or-Treating extravaganza in Kees Park!!

Alvin and the Chipmunks were there!!!
{Of course, our girls were scared to death and wouldn't go near them!  HA!}

But they did love Princess Jasmine!!!!

On the route to a trick-or-treating station!!!!

Savannah learned quickly how to put
her bucket up to get some candy.
 Ahhhh, TOOTSIE ROLLS!!!!!!!

Each tootsie roll needed to be eaten IMMEDIATELY
 upon entrance into the bucket.
{And see all the boxes of candy in the back??
Seriously, the amount of candy was insane!!}

The kids had candy for dinner.  #notkidding

Hey!!  Where's the MILK stations???

Ahahahaha!!!!!!  This makes me DIE laughing!!!  Nathan was holding Callie...and obviously had to hold her bucket as well.  He kept saying how awkward he felt, holding out his bucket for more candy...
"Ummm...  Callie's favorite is Kit-Kat's.  I promise!!!!!!!!"

Yaaayyyy!!!  The little girls FINALLY got a picture with the princesses!!!

Yaaayyyyyy!!!!!  The big girls FINALLY got a picture with the princesses!!!

Dorothy from Wizard of Oz!

Savannah... checking out the Tin Man!  Ha!

The Walmart station was taking pictures of each family and is giving them FREE copies... we go pick them up Wednesday!!  How great is that???  I know Nathan will be so pleased!!!!!  :)

Love each of their faces!!  I really can't wait to go get my copy!!!

Sonic station!!  The girls were petrified of the hot dog...
so Nathan went with them!  What a good sport!  :)

After this, we went to DeDe's house.... aka: the rich people's neighborhood.  HA!!  We did real-life trick or treating on a few houses and then gathered up all our candy and came home.  The kids absolutely COLLAPSED into bed after their baths... can we say a SUGAR CRASH???  Ha!

What a boooootiful Halloween!!!
We can't wait to do it again next year!!!

Love to you all!
