After the cold winter months, it was SO nice to be able to spend our Valentine's weekend outdoors! After church, Pops grilled chicken and Grammie made greens.. and then we set up a little t-ball game for the family! Here is Uncle Wade teaching Calbug how to hold the bat!
Oh my gosh, what a cutie!!
Savannah, Sadie, and Rylie are all playing t-ball this spring on the same team... aaaand Uncle Nathan is the assistant coach!! Ahhhhh!!! Seriously, won't that be the best time ever?!
Homerun, Vannie, homerun!!!
Grammie and Pops enjoying tea, sunny days... and their favorite grandchildren.;)
Find a bucket, throw in some toys... and you've got yourself a perfect play pen.
My handsome little redhead!
Big brother helping out!!
Being a baby is hard work, y'all.
Playing in the woods...
Love that these girls are such sweet friends.
Hahaaa, photo bomb! This was such a precious moment, though! Both girls had chairs pulled up to the counter as they helped Grammie peel apples and roll out fresh dough for one of our family's favorite desserts, Apple Danish! I hope they love and appreciate baking days with Grandma.. and I'm so looking forward to seeing this happen again and again for many years to come!
No trip to Pops' is complete without a little ice cream in a cone.
Happy Valentine's Day, y'all!
So these last two pictures are thrown in here just for kicks and giggles. This is a picture of Paula Deen's banana pudding. It was my first time to make it and eat it... and it was "on point," in Shan's words, haha!! It was deliciousssss!!! Make it. Grab a spoon. Eat it all. I promise you'll want to.
Lastly, Savannah and Andrew are our mail-getters. They love running out to the mailbox every afternoon and carrying in our 'prizes' that Mailman Mike leaves for us! Apparently, they wanted to return the favor. On Monday morning, I noticed our flag was standing up on the mailbox and knew I hadn't put it up. Wade walked outside to check on it and came back inside laughing.. The kids had taken an offering envelope from church, put in a magnet, sealed the envelope and mailed it, even putting the flag up!! Haa!! Not sure what Mr. Mike would have done with this... but it sure made us laugh!! What sweet babies!
We always have an awesome time in Thibodaux and it was especially wonderful to have grandparents to watch the babies! Wade and I took full advantage of it and went for walk after walk after walk together, ha! The warmer spring weather is just the icing on the cake! Looking forward to posting pictures from the girls's t-ball games, too... tryouts are tonight at 6! Wish us luck! :))
