Al & Heath's Couples Shower

Sadie, Rylie, Callie, Savannah, and Andrew were all asked to be in Allyson and Heath's wedding on June 14!  It was a day we had all been looking forward to for the past year, and on the last weekend of May, we celebrated the upcoming day with a couples shower at Jen's house!

Heather had spent the day with us and created this incredible Strawberry Dream Cake!  Isn't it gorgeous?!

At the last second, I remembered that I had FORGOTTEN to make the wreath for the shower!  I threw this together in 15 minutes!  Not my best work, but it did work. :))

The theme was Louisiana foods and it was ALL delicious!!  Here is the lovely couple, starting up the line!

We all ate... and then it was game time!

We played a Newlyweds game.. and it was hilarious!! Each contestant was asked questions about their spouse... like their strangest quirk and their best physical asset.. it was the soooo funny!! And Casey and Alan WON!!!!  :))))

The newlyweds-to-be!

Marissa and KK!

Me, Landry, and Mrs. Bonnie!!

A few pictures of our precious Al, opening her KitchenAid from all the girls!

And then it was dance party time::

Wadie got there just in time to eat, say hello, and take Baby Grant off to bed...
Aren't they an adorable duo?!
Such a sweet, sweet day for some of our most favorite friends!!!

Our Wild Crew Heads to the Zoo!

Our favorite Aunt Meggie and sweet Emory came down to spend the day with us!!  We had lunch at Chick-Fil-A and then brought our zoo TO the zoo! Here are a few pictures of our little monkeys!

Jen and her crew met up with us, as well as Casey and Landry, and some new friends from Shreveport, Emily and Cameron!!

It's show time!

Brother riding with his favorite girl!

So thankful for all of our beautiful babies!!
Andrew - 3 years old!

Emory - 1 year old!

Savannah - 5 years old!

Love our sweet, sweet friends!

One of my most favorite pictures from the day!

Southern girls don't sweat... they glisten. :))

Funny little zookeepers!

Always love days with our Meggie and Emmy baby!!!  Now if only we could get them to move down here permanently.... :))

Last Game of the Season

Savannah was the catcher for our very last t-ball game!!  We thought there would be two more games, but sadly, both were rained out... so Vannie was picked to be catcher for what would turn out to be their last game!
We were so excited... and Van as thrilled that she finally had a job to do besides spinning circles in the outfield, ha!

She did such a good job!!

We laughed the whole season about how small Vannie looked under that helmet!!  Goodness!

Grammie and Pops also got to make their very last game, which was such a treat!!

My last picture of Savannah playing t-ball!!  So thankful for the experience, so thankful we made new friends, and so thankful we will have a little break before next season starts!  Haha!!  I'm not sure if Savannah will play again next year... but I have a little boy who is counting down the days until he can play!!! :))

The Southern Belles with their Pops and Grammie!
We ended up being first in our league..
First of three teams, whoooo hoooo!!  Hahaaa!
We were so proud of our little girls who took us out to the ballgame twice a week...
and make us so happy seven days a week. :))

A Day in the Country...

One bright and sunshiny Saturday, our Poole party headed to the village of Anacoco in order to help Hezzy and Jase get settled into their new home!!  After a couple of hours of unpacking and cleaning, it was time for a break!  We headed outside to pick blueberries and dewberries...

climb fences...

chase bunny rabbits...

...and walk through the pasture, discussing what prairie life was like for little children 100 years ago. Ha!!  We then met the horses!!!!

The kids were so funny!!  They tried to get as far away as possible, but still within reach of the horses.

"Hey, Horseyyyyy!!"

They began giving the horses new names...
this one is Kristoph.

Hello to Queen Elsa!

And Princess Anna!  And do you see that gorgeous pasture?!  I think I would spend EVERY DAY out under one of those trees!!

Grammie, you would have been so proud of these little horse-petters!

In the meantime, Kate snuggled with Grandpa and when we got back to the house, we found her like this...

After a very busy day of cleaning the house and corralling the horses, these two were whipped!
You know it's been a busy and sweet day when you fall asleep like this!
Country living - it's the good life.
