Feed the Birds, Tuppence a Bag..

To start our month of May, we headed over to Grammie and Pops's property with a few friends and made HOMEMADE BIRD-FEEDERS!

We found the perfect pincones..

Smeared them with peanut butter and then shook them around in the birdseed...

And created a little birdfeeder!

Sadie's turn to shake, shake, shake!

It turned out so great!

Here is our little friend, Gracie, who will also be a homeschooled first grader next year!!  We are excited about all the play dates in store for her and Savannah!

Grant has really turned into a little poser - when I say to smile, he immediately does!!  It is SO adorable!

All of the pinecones looked so pretty hanging from the trees..

Samuel loved our outing at the property!

I was looking rough out in the wilderness, but Callie looks so grown up and beautiful here!

This wasn't a planned picture, but what a perfect one it is!!  Grammie loves her babies!

Such sweet little friends!!  Pops and Grammie, we are SO glad you live here!!!!!!!!!!

The following weekend, we packed up the car and drove to Toledo Bend to celebrate Savannah's SIXTH birthday!!!  That post, coming up next!!

Picnic at the Property

Grammie and Pops own the most beautiful 8 acres in all of Louisiana and the kids get to ride the tractor, make trails, and escape to their own little retreat every week. They imagine and play and create a sweet, wonderful little world for themselves out there!!

Here are Pops and Samuel, enjoying their little world..

Samuel is never more relaxed than when he is snoozing outside!

Grammie and Pops were cleaning out the fence row (doesn't that sound so farm-y and cute like in the olden days??) and they had brought a watermelon for all their little helpers!!

Hey!!  Are we going to eat that watermelon or just look at it all day?!

Cold watermelon on a hot day... one of life's most simple joys!

Beautiful girl, waiting for a slice!

Nom nom nom...

Rylie, ready to go into SECOND grade!!!

Callie, 4 years old going on 24!

Savannah has finished kindergarten... has a whole year already gone by?!

Hahaa, sweet little brother.

A month away from turning two, Grant's little faces are just too much!!

Grant watched Pops spitting out his seeds... and decided that's what he wanted to do, too!  Like grandfather, like grandson!  So adorable.

As the girls explored through the woods and under the bridge, they found an empty turtle shell.  I don't know what happened to the turtle.. :/  But his shell was neat to look at!

Silly Baby Grant.

I think this is when the kids were laughing because they thought it was so funny that Grammie and Pops kiss..  Pops and Grammie, sitting in the tree... K-i-s-s-i-n-g!  Hahaa, they are so sweet!

And this is how you finish off a watermelon in the country.

Baby Samuel woke up wondering who ate all the watermelon?!

Picnics at the property... we dreamed of days like this with Grammie and Pops for so long.  It's unbelievable that this is now our reality!!  What wonderful, wonderful days together!!

The following morning, I got the boys ready for church and realized that they all coordinated!  So of course, I had to make myself late while I snapped a few pictures...
Grant - 1, Andrew - 4, and Samuel - 4 months

The three amigos.  The three musketeers.  The three Poole boys.

We then came home from church and made homemade Popsicles and the kids begged me to take a picture of them... so here they are. ;))  I love these babies!!
I know I say this a lot, but truly...
Does life get any better than this??

Dinner With Jack!

A few days after our precious friends got home from the hospital with Baby Jack, we brought over dinner and got in some snuggle time with our newest neighbor!

Wadie got to feed him a bottle while the kids watched..

I mean, seriously?!?!  How sweeeeet!

What an awesome group of guys.. I am so thankful for Godly men who will train their boys up to love Jesus!

Besties for the resties!

We love our Folses!!!
We missed Kel and Troy on our walks while they were in the hospital, so we are SO glad they are home and that their beautiful baby boy is here, too!!! He is absolute perfection and we look so forward to many more snuggles!!!!!!

Jack Roland Folse

We always love when Aunt Hezzy comes to town!  In the middle of April, she came over to get some snuggles from Samuel!

Oh, Grant!!  You are my sunshine when skies are gray!

We try to take a walk down our street at least once every day... and the days that Wade works 12 hour shifts are no exception!!  He gets home, eats dinner, showers, and we get ready for our walk!  It's so nice.. we call it Mommy and Daddy time and the kids have to talk quietly while Mom and Dad get some uninterrupted time together!!  It's lovely and a wonderful way to unwind while we discuss our day!!  However, sometimes, all of our talking puts the babies to sleep!! Ha!!

Grant hates anything that makes crazy loud noises.. so he was a little panicky when Dad busted out the blower!!  Wade pretended to chase him around... hahaa!!

But he quickly scooped Grant up and showed him that the blower was nothing to be afraid of!

Matchy, matchy!!  How cute is that?!

Just training him up... ;)
We also had to make our yard look nice because we were about to have a new neighbor!!! Kelli and Troy were due any day!!!

And on April 22, 2015 - Jack Roland Folse arrived!!

7 lbs 7 oz of absolute adorableness right there!

So handsome already!!

My kids couldn't wait to go see Kelli and Troy... they asked if we could just skip Chick Fil A and go straight to the hospital instead, and y'all!!  That is saying A LOT!!

Of course, I was madly in love at first sight!!

Mollie loved sweet Baby Jack, too!!

Jack and Samuel meeting for the first time!!  They are bound to be inseparable buddies!!

They are just 4 months apart!

And then it was Savannah's turn to meet Jack!

...and Andrew's!

Andrew's newest best friend who lives right next door!

Love our sweet community who enjoy each other so much!!
We were all so thrilled for our Kel!!

Stephen is always so good about coming to visit all of our new babies!!
And so it begins!!  There is a party of three living next door and we could not be happier or more excited about all that's in store!!  We really want to be neighbors with the Folses for the rest of our lives, so I expect to watch our boys grow into manhood together!!  Jack, we have waited so long for you and are so thrilled that you have arrived!!  I can't wait for all of our adventures to begin!!  Lissie loves youuuuu, as does Uncle Wade, Savannah, Andrew, Grant, and Samuel! Oh. And Yellow Cat, too. ;)
