Sno Balls Vs. Watermelon

In June, we found ourselves back at Hezzy's house.. which is only a short mile from the sno-ball stand!!  We brought our precious Daizy along and hit up the stand, ready to cool off in this very hot and humid heat!

I brought a Sugartown watermelon to share... but everyone else insisted that sno-balls were a much better choice!

I think even Grant agreed and watermelon is his most favorite thing on Earth!

Samuel may or may not have had his first little tiny taste of a sno-cone.  Hey, we do what we have to in order to survive a Cenla summer!

Frozen ice makes everyone happier..

There's also a gift shop attached to the sno-ball stand {because we are fancy like that} so each of the girls got to pick out a new prize!!  Jenny picked out fire-poppers for everyone and they all loved that!! #funaunt

Once our sno-cones were gone, everyone was a little more enthusiastic about my humble watermelon!!

Mouthful of sugary sweetness!

Cold watermelon on a hot summer day has to be one of life's simplest joys.

The boys went for a little ride..

Grant's face, hahaha!!

We walked through Hezzy's garden..

...and we found lots of watermelons and squash!!

Lastly, we picked blueberries!

Best little friends and such hard little workers!

For this little boy, sno-cones and watermelon can't compete.
DIRT wins, everytime. ;)
We had such a lovely time, Hezzy!!
This is what a Louisiana summer day should look like!!
