Grant's First Trip to the Dentist

At the beginning of October, it was time for the kids to go back to the dentist for their check-up!!  This would be Grant's FIRST trip there and while he was a little nervous, his brother and sister told him all about the balloons and games and puzzles and prizes that awaited him at our dentist's office!!
That made him super excited to get there!!

I am convinced we have the greatest pediatric dentist office in. the. WORLD.  The kids were welcomed, by name, as they arrived and Daddy was faithful to take their picture with Bippo the Hippo!!

Aaaaaand then, when it time for the actual cleaning, Grant fell apart..  ha!!

Grant did not love getting his teeth scrubbed by a stranger.. but then, who really does??  He got through it, though, and they all headed off to the play room!

They all left with new toys, balloons, stickers, toothbrushes, floss, and certificates!!  I TOLD YOU we have the greatest dentist office EVER.

Sampling a few of his new prizes..

They all made A's at the dentist office... which is impressive, because we are not diehards when it comes to brushing and flossing twice a day.  Ha!!  We do our best, but 2 minutes per kid of brushing 2-3 times a day is just a little out of reach for us.

But thankfully, we know a super good dentist. ;))

  2. It’s amazing how a scary trip to the dentist for the little one is not so scary anymore when they find out about balloons and toys. All of a sudden there is a shift in their focus and they relate better. I think it helps that kids his age told him all about the great things about the dentist too.

  3. Going to the dentist is no fun and can be nerve wracking especially for the kids. I found a great pediatric dentist only 10 minutes away from my house. Having a friendly and welcoming dentist is key to having a pleasant experience. I'm glad all your kids got their teeth cleaned and went home happy.
