Savannah Turns Seven!!!!!!!

Writing that title just hurt my heart!! SEVEN?!  But wait, what?!  7 is not a baby.  And Vannie is my baby, my little girl, my pookie poonyas!!

One year old:

2 years old:

Three years old:

Four years old:

5 years old:

6 years old:

And now, she's all grown up at seven years old.  That just killed me to look back at all those little birthdays..  when did that tiny girl with the cute, turned up nose and baby teeth turn into this little woman??  How did the time slip away without me noticing??

On May 10, we woke Savannah up with a birthday doughnut!!

Rise and shine, birthday girl!! {And Grant! Ha!}

Wade piggy-backed these two to the kitchen table..

..where Pops, Grammie, and Hezzy were waiting on FaceTime to sing 'Happy Birthday!'

Oh, my beautiful, beautiful girl.  You bring joy and sweetness wherever you go!

We watched Callie's graduation in the morning and then headed to Kees Park with pizza and Sonic drinks to celebrate this big day with our cousins!!

And then went to Yummy Yo for some fro-yo!

One of Vannie's presents??  A new sleeping bag so she can go camping with her brothers!! (Even if that just means camping on the living room floor!)

Seven just doesn't get cuter than this, y'all.

A few of my favorites.

Crazy Poole Party for life.. and Savannah, you started us off! ;))
Happy Birthday, Vannie Van!!  I've loved every moment I've spent with you since the day I knew you were coming.. you are my Gracie girl, Mommy and Daddy's best little friend, the one who always makes everything better, no matter how the day is going.  As a baby, your smiles made Daddy smile each and every time and as a toddler, your funny comments kept me texting everyone I knew all.day.long.  I didn't want to forget any of it!!  As a school-age little girl, you are smart, willing to work, and the best older role model for your brothers..  You make us thankful.  You make us better.

Mommy and Daddy are so proud of the precious and kind little lady you are.  You are compassionate and sweet.. with a little bit of sass mixed in there! ;))  The day you were born was my very first post on this blog; you were my very reason for starting this, and oh! How glad I am that you came and that I did! All of these priceless pictures of you are so bittersweet.  I am sad, knowing that so many years have passed and realizing it is not so very far away that you will be all grown up.  But with your maturity, I see a whole new world.  A world where you are able to ask deep and probing questions, understand complicated ideas, and even recognize your personal need for a Savior.  This is what all my years of staying home so far, raising and training you, has been for.  This is the pinnacle.

On May 28th of this year, you gave your heart and life to Jesus.  You asked me why I wouldn't pray with you to ask Jesus into your heart and I told you it was a very serious thing and I wanted to be sure you understood!  I asked you lots of questions and you were so serious as you answered them all..  I called Daddy into the room and he prayed for you.  We then asked you to pray as the Lord led you.
You thanked Him for letting Him love you and asked Him to help you not be "deceived like Eve or disobedient like Adam" for the rest of your life.  Recognizing you were a sinner and wanting God's forgiveness and grace, you asked Him to be your God, turning over the rest of your life to Him!  I cried and your Daddy prayed as you made the most important decision of your life!!  You wanted so badly to ask Jesus into your heart and to be your God!!  What a life-changing night; the Bible says that even the angels celebrated!!! You are His, Vannie!!  Your name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life for all eternity!  Oh, glorious day!!!!!  I can't stop crying as the thankfulness to Almighty God pours from my heart.  I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. 3 John 1:4

I pray that the Holy Spirit does a mighty work in your life, Van.  That the night of coming to Jesus and surrendering your life to Him is only the beginning of a beautiful and intimate walk with Him.  Until your last day on Earth, may you call Jesus a close friend, God and King, your Savior and Lord.  Mommy and Daddy look forward to celebrating that decision with you for all of eternity.  Happy 7th Birthday, my darling girl.
